BJT and MOSFET

                                BJT

  1. BJT is NPN or PNP.
  2. BJT is a current controlled device.
  3. The temperature coefficient of BJT is negative.
  4. The input resistance of BJT is low.
  5. The switching speed of BJT is slower.
  6. BJT is not expensive.
  7. The current output of BJT can be controlled through the input base current.
  8. it is used for the low current application.

                               MOSFET

  1. MOSFET is P-type or N-type.
  2. MOSFET is a voltage controlled device.
  3. The temperature coefficient of MOSFET is positive.
  4. The input resistance of MOSFET is high.
  5. The switching speed of MOSFET is higher.
  6. BJT is not expensive.
  7. The current output of BJT can be controlled through the input base current.
  8. it is used for the low current application.
